Supporting ANIORU’S CUP 2026

Icom supported ANIORU’S CUP 2026, held from February 20 to 22, 2026, at Mikawa Mito Marina in Toyokawa City, Aichi Prefecture, by providing its IP700PLUS series hybrid transceivers for event operations.

The event was organized by the Japan Intercollegiate Offshore Sailing Federation, which consists of nine universities* active in keelboat sailing and regularly engaged in racing and cruising activities. The competition is primarily student-run, with each participating university competing using keelboats.

The IP700PLUS series is a hybrid transceiver that combines LTE transceiver and professional transceiver. Although Mikawa Mito Marina is within LTE coverage, the IP700PLUS series was selected to ensure stable communication even when boats sail beyond LTE range. On the day, the IP transceiver function was used primarily. This facilitated communication between support boats and enabled information to be shared between shore-based and sea-based staff, contributing to the safe operation of the race.
