Supporting the “TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Rally Challenge in Lake Biwa Takashima” with radios

Icom supported the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Rally Challenge, which took place in Takashima City, Shiga Prefecture, on August 31, 2025, by providing various products, including the IP502H IP transceiver. This support has continued from last year.

This event is a beginner-friendly "rally" competition held on public roads, mainly on forest roads.

In addition to the IP502H IP transceiver, we provided support with the IC-D70BT digital portable radio this year. By connecting these two radios via the VE-PG4, this system enables direct communication in areas where there is no mobile phone coverage.

Icom contributed to the smooth operation of the event with these communication products, which were used for traffic control at the venue, visitor support, safety checks along the rally route, monitoring competition progress at the start and finish points, and coordinating staff.
