MCPTT Handheld Demonstration at Critical Communications World (CCW) 2026 (London, UK)

Icom Incorporated will demonstrate a prototype of its future MCPTT handheld currently under development at Critical Communications World (CCW) 2026, to be held in London, UK, from June 16 to 18, 2026.

The 3GPP, an organisation which develops mobile communication standards and protocols has been standardising communication functions to support mission-critical applications, such as those used in the public safety sector over cellular networks since Release 13. These are collectively referred to as “Mission-Critical Services (MCX)” The MCPTT handheld that will be on display are prototypes of an MCX-compatible device that ICOM aims to commercialise for public organisations, both in Japan and throughout the world. Demonstrations of our MCX prototype will take place at the booth of our partner Etherstack, who are exhibiting at the event (Booth H20).
